Man of the Moment: Jason Segel

So I have a confession to make.....
I have a huge megacrush on Jason Segel.

I just got into "How I Met Your Mother" earlier this year which planted the seeds of my secret Jason Segel crush... but now I like him even more because he loves MUPPETS!

I read an article in the Huffington Post interviewing him on the new Muppet Movie... They asked him if he really burst out crying when he first heard Kermit speak at a read-through of the script.... he said:

"I did. It wasn't like a burst-out kind of crying; it was much more embarrassing than that. It was like the slow cry where you're trying super hard not to let anyone know you're about to cry so you're pursing your lips but they're quivering, and next thing I knew there were tears streaming down my face and there was nothing I could do to hide it...We took like a five minute break. What was worse was I was one of the producers of the movie; I'm kind of supposed to be the boss. People were looking at me like, "Is he going to do this the whole time?"

The key to my heart, Jason Segel...... is Muppets.
Bravo.
You are such a man.

You know... just brushin' his teeth with a Muppet...

SURROUNDED by muppets!

Making Spirits Bright

What Christmas means to me....
Soaking up time with friends, family, and fluffy dogs,
Doing LOTS of crafting,
Baking delicious things,
Eating delicious things,
Going to the candlelight service at Fellowship,
Watching favorite Christmas Movies (White Christmas, Holiday Inn, Muppets, etc...)

Looking forward to 2012 and wishing you a Happy Christmas!

Christmas means The Muppets!! This is literally my favorite version of A Christmas Carol... so magical!

Hey... santa looks like he's riding my bike! :)

"..aaand dance by the light of the moon!"

a plethora of crafting!

When I was home I did SO much crafting! It was absolutely lovely. I got the idea to do this first project from a sweet blog called Elm Street Life! I've wanted to do this for awhile... she has a great tutorial for how to make perfect letters on cute signs like this.

I just made it from a scrap piece of wood I found in the garage, I was so proud! I put it by this sweet photo of my grandparents during Thanksgiving... D'awww :)

Next I made this...

....from another piece of wood I found in my garage and scrapbooking paper that I mod-podged on there (and a doily!). Then I painted a clear finish over it to seal the deal. I am going to put cute little drawer pulls across the bottom and make it a hanger for scarves or purses!

then I made this!
I had this really cool art print from the 60's that I bought in Birmingham, and I wanted to do something cool with it that I could hang in my house!
A lot of trial and error with a canvas I found lying around, but I think it turned out pretty cute.

First I cut it to fit the canvas and wrapped it like a present....

here's a pic of the art print on the canvas..... and then on the right, I nailed two small nails onto the sides...

I connected the two nails with embroidery floss, added a sweet fabric heart, and used it as a sort of clothesline for some beautiful old pictures of my grandma and grandpa :)
I could totally make some "family tree" puns right now....

aren't they cute??

I had way too much fun with these!
...can't I just major in crafting?

xoxo
